Just like finding the perfect man, finding the the ideal wedding venue isn't just about looks. You may have fallen in love with the setting and be taken aback by the surrounds, but does it really fit the bill? We've put together a series of questions you should be asking to make sure the venue's not just a pretty face. It's by no means an exhaustive list, but should set you in the right direction. 1. How many guests can be accommodated?
2. What are the various options and costs?
3. Is there a good choice of menu? can it be catered for specific dietary requirements?
4. Is there accommodation available at the venue, or alternatively nearby?
5. Can you take in your own alcohol?
6. Does the venue allow live bands / dancing / DJ?
7. Do you allow fireworks?
8. What photographic locations are available?
9. Are there suitable disabled facilities?
10. Do you have any arrangements with local taxi firms?

Think about your guests and what they need to add a few more questions. And don't be afraid of asking probing questions! You won't know if you don't ask, so don't think twice about asking the seemingly obvious! There's no fun in finding out at the last minute that the expensive firework display and DJ can't be used, and no one can get home...
