You've seen hundreds of hens in all manner of costumes. From Pink Ladies to School girls, it's a great chance to dress up in just about anything you want. Or more to the case, dress the hen in what ever her girls want. It won't be a hen party without a theme, but before choosing your perfect hen party theme, take a look at the cost per girl and also paying for the hen's individual outfit. It's easy to get carried away with a theme, only to realise some of the girls complain about the price. So get the budget sorted before and decide how much you can spend on each costume. You may find your perfect idea isn't so perfect for the budget - or you'll end up paying more yourself.
It sounds obvious, but check everyone is happy with the theme. It's a good idea to email around and get votes before deciding. And always ask if a particular hen theme is a definite no for certain girls. The last thing you want is someone to feel uncomfortable. I recently organised a hen do and school uniform was an absolute no! And I'm not sure I would want my mum to come to my hen party dressed in school uniform.
We've listed a few full on and fun hen night themes first. These don't have to be expensive, and you'll no doubt have something in your wardrobe or pick something up at a charity shop. You can get the rest from a fancy dress shop.
